Immigration Links

The following represent a short list of what we consider to be important websites containing valuable information on U.S. immigration laws.

American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA): This organization is the country's premier association of immigration lawyers and contains significant information on current developments in the immigration law field.

United States Department of Homeland Security: The Bureau of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is one of the bureaus within the Department of Homeland Security and is the chief governmental body regulating U.S. Immigration. The website contains a wealth of information on visa programs, forms, and immigration laws and regulations.

United States Department of State: This agency is charged with implementing U.S. foreign policy and in the immigration area supplies the visas to foreign persons that allow them to gain entry to the United States. This site contains important information on passports, visa categories and forms for visa applications. This site also links to sub-sites containing information for most U.S. Consulates, including visa application procedures and wait times.

We also include for the convenience of readers, the State Department's Visa Bulletin, which provides information on when certain categories of immigrant visas may become available to applicants.

United States Department of Labor: This government agency is concerned, among other things, with regulating foreign workers in the United States. The Labor Certification process is well-known to persons pursuing employment based permanent residency and is a process overseen by this government department.
