Is C-G Immigration and Commercial Law Affiliates a law partnership?
No. It is a vehicle used by our two law firms to market their joint legal services to clients who would benefit from their combined resources and expertise. Each affiliated law firm maintains its own offices, management, staff and independent research facilities, but has agreed to share resources for joint projects in the immigration and commercial law areas.
Will personnel from both affiliated law firms be involved in providing services to clients?
Yes. Should a client require that services be performed by the personnel of one law firm or the other, the affiliated firms have agreed to share the costs associated with the use of such personnel as well as the use of database resources.
Do the Affiliated law firms intend to share profits generated through the joint legal projects for which they have been retained as C-G Immigration and Commercial Law Affiliates?
Yes. Fees generated through the providing of joint services shall be allocated in accordance with the amount of time each firm dedicated to the representation. The costs associated with a joint project shall also be shared. One invoice shall be rendered by the affiliation to joint clients under Choudhury-Goodman Immigration and Commercial Law Affiliates c/o Robert Ian Goodman, Esq., 6 Legendary Circle, Rye Brook, NY 10573.
Will the affiliated firms engage in the common training of personnel or share strategies?
Currently, neither firm is involved in the training of personnel. Should, however, a joint project require the hiring and training of personnel, both firms have agreed to cooperate with one another toward their training as required. The Affiliated firms have agreed to cooperate in developing common strategies to meet the requirements of joint projects, and are involved in the development of joint marketing strategies, but are not involved in developing joint financial and management policies in the manner of a legal partnership.
Are the Affiliated firms engaged in joint operations?
No. Each affiliated firm manages itself operationally and financially, but has agreed to cooperate in providing legal services to joint clients developed through the affiliation.
Who is responsible for the legal work performed by C-G Immigration and Commercial Law Affiliates?
Goodman Law and H. Taufiq Choudhury, P.C. are each jointly responsible for the quality of the legal work that is performed for clients generated through Choudhury-Goodman Immigration and Commercial Law Affiliates.
